Champagne Time With…EPC

Camille. Edouard and Jérôme began the EPC adventure some 18 months ago and it has been toasting along ever since. The young company offers a new take on the beverage of centuries and with its champagnes, extra brut, brut and rosé elaborated with Chardonnay grapes from one single year, one single grape variety and one single terroir or parcel makes it perfect for a champagne time this summer or any summer or anytime for that matter. Each vintner is selected by Richard, the cellar master at EPC.

But there is an added bonus or two to champagne time with EPC. For example there is a heat sensitive patch on the bottle that tells you when the bottle is cold enough to drink. Or to liven up champagne time you can take a picture of the bottle with your smart phone and launch an application through which, in augmented reality, the label of the bottle becomes animated and recounts the history of the bottle.

In addition to its three champagnes, the house has also produced two limited edition vintage champagnes, a Blanc de Blancs 2013 and a Blanc de Blancs 2015 which are, too, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. EPC limits the amount of sugar and sulphates to a strict minimum in its Blanc de Blancs champagnes. And in a nod to the champagne region, the house promotes the blida, a traditional glass from the Champagne region for serving the bubble-filled sips.
