It’s simple and refined and highly refreshing and comes straight out of the good earth of Provence. The Maison Mirabeau was founded over ten years ago by Jeany and Stephen Cronk and the house creates divine rosé wines working in tandem with local wine growers. Jeany and Stephen Cronk made the decision to move from London to the heart of Provence in 2009. Installed in the town of Cotignac, they began to scour the region to locate the best wine-makers and growers. And soon Mirabeau rosés were born.

The house’s four rosé wines are fruity or dry or spicy, but all have a certaine elegance capturing the unique characteristics of France’s Provence region. The wines surprise by their colors as well. Maison Mirabeau elaborates its assembled wines with 14 local wine cooperatives. The Maison Mirabeau also has it own vineyards that it uses to produce very small quantities of wine at the estate which are partially aged in oak casks creating a rich and complex rosé which has excellent aging potential.

The house’s rosé de Provence Mirabeau Classic is a fruity wine whose taste evokes the red fruits of summer. It is good paired with aromatic foods. The rosé de Provence Mirabeau Etoile is a rich rosé, a gastronomic rosé with notes of peach and pear which can be served with a fine meal. The house’s rosé for any day is its rosé de Provence Mirabeau Pure which it has dubbed Provence in a glass and draws its inspiration from long days of doing nothing on the Riviera. Refreshing and earthy it is a perfect before dinner drink. The Maison Mirabeau is currently converting its Domaine Mirabeau into organic production for the Ecocert label.
