The kaleidoscope, one of the fascinating memories of childhood, a marvelous optical instrument that brings colorful sequences to the eye. Carmine red, spring green, classic black, burnt orange and cobalt blue, a true kaleidoscope of colors color the watches of one of Longines most celebrated collections: the diamond-ringed La Grande Classique de Longines. The Swiss house is bringing out its iconic watch in five monochromatic versions outfitted with a leather strap that matches the dial color. The timepieces are nestled into a diamond-set stainless steel case. The 44 diamonds surround the round 29mm case from which the colorful lacquer polished dial shines forth. The watch’s silver polished hands tell the time in hours and minutes and the watch features a quartz movement and is water resistant to 30 meters. Longines is also bringing out another one of its icons in the same five monochromatic colors, the Longines Dolcevita. Longines has been based in Saint-Imier in Switzerland since 1832.
