Paris, France – La Compagnie des Indes, a mythical name on the French gourmet horizon. Founded in 1665 by the Sun King himself, Louis XIV, the origin of La Compagnie des Indes was an exploration of the planet Earth by teams of mandated botanists to discover extraordinary plants with healing and gustatory virtues on the Silk Roads.

The company was re-born in 2016 and since then the team has been fighting against anything artificial to showcase natural and authentic plants. And so today the house is offering a fine selection of herbals, teas and plant-based perfume and beauty products that are totally organic and made with natural flavors and organic alcohol.

They have just brought out a special summertime drink Absolu Rose or Rose Absolute. The Absolutes are plant syrups made without sugar to be diluted in still or sparkling ice water or hot water. You can add it to a cocktail making for an original mix, like giving your rosé wine a taste of the rose. These Absolutes are produced in the Massif Central mountains according to a secret method known only to one of the house’s botanists. The rose, for millennia, has been known for its gentle taste and its fortifying properties. The Absolu Rose of La Compangine des Indes is made with roses of Provence, hibiscus and lemon juice.
