The family-owned house of Una Storia, which means a story in Italian, is celebrating its upcoming 20th anniversary in a floral fashion with a limited edition torque necklace. The Torque Madeira draws its inspiration from the island of the same name known world-wide for the wealth of its flora and the necklace is a colorful array of hand-painted flowers. Designed in the house’s creation studios in Vichy in the heart of France, it is made in the house’s signature rhodium-plated silver. Derived from platinum, rhodium is a noble material that protects jewelry from water and perspiration. The third generation of the Fleurus family group Cécile, Frédérique, and Pierre chose to break with traditional jewelry codes by creating rhodium-plated silver jewelry with bold designs and shimmering hues embodying the house’s hallmark byword of « Asserted Elegance ». The Madeira Torque is meticulously drawn on paper, like all fine jewels, and then hand-painted with vibrant colors in gouache paint.

The Una Storia creative studio, under the creative direction of Antoine Gaillard, Sales and Product Marketing Director, designs collections of women’s silver jewelry inspired by art, nature, architecture, and encounters. The house then entrusts the realization of its creations to partner jewelry workshops, selected for their mastery of sterling silver work and their ability to meet Una Storia’s specifications. The house’s jewelry is produced according to the standards of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), an international benchmark for the jewelry industry. The Madeira Torque has been brought out in a limited edition of just 150 signed pieces. ©Trish Valicenti for The Gourmet Gazette https://una-storia.com/
