Cannes, France —As the sun-drenched 49th Cannes Yachting Festival  week draws to a close, professionals and enthusiasts witnessed myriad boats and floats  launched from the most prestigious French and international shipyards while the show offered a unique panorama of the boating industry: sailing boats, motor yachts, innovative equipment, premium services and ground-breaking innovations. Europe’s leading in-water boat show brought together 680 exhibitors and an exceptional fleet of 700 boats from 5 to 55 metres long between the two iconic ports of Vieux Port and Port Canto in Cannes. For six days the Festival celebrated the wealth, expertise and know-how in the global boating industry: monohulls and multihulls, sailing and motor boats, dayboats, superyachts, trawlers, electric or hybrid boats, new and pre-owned boats, toys, in sum myriad models and uses that explore different ways of heading out to sea. 

Transition and subsequent innovations were among the hallmarks of this year’s show. Driven by the energy transition, onboard connectivity and growing expectations around sustainability, the boating industry is undergoing profound transformation. Launched in 2024 by the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Innovation Route showcases those driving the industry forward. Deployed across the Vieux Port and Port Canto, this trail invited visitors to discover the most pioneering projects presented at the show and explore new ways of imagining, designing and experiencing life at sea.
