It is a stunning display of the colors of the rainbow and more. The French house of La Brune & La Blonde is showcasing its dazzling Rainbow necklace from its Confetti collection. Seven natural, unset stones are suspended from a chain of 18k yellow gold, the signature of the house’s knowhow. The Made in France jewel features a ruby, a pink sapphire, a yellow sapphire, a blue sapphire, a tsavorite and an amethyst.  The necklace is available in different versions depending upon the carat count: 0.90 carat, 2 carats or 3.5 carats. Seven colors, for the typical frequent sequence of colors found in a rainbow, the 7 colour notion was popularized by Sir Isaacc Newton, although a rainbow contains many more different hues, many more than the human eye can actually see and distinguish. 

We like the idea of wearing a colorful rainbow for the rainbow remains one of nature’s most captivating candies for the eyes. These are arcs of color that emerge when the light of the sun interacts with drops of water, often after a light rain shower.  As light passes through water, it splits into different wavelengths, producing the familiar sequence of colors. The classic order is red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet (ROYGBIV), with red having the longest wavelength and violet the shortest, according to The Met Office, the United Kingdom’s national meteorological service.
