Collector’s Corner: Monaco Auction Week

One of our summertime favorites is about to kick off in the Principality of Monaco. Because every summer Monaco becomes a unique destination for lovers of art, exceptional objects, dazzling jewels and collector watches.

Vacheron Constantin, the 222 Saudi Arabia timepiece, circa 1978 in steel and 18k yellow gold. This is a rare timepiece made for the Saudi Arabian royal family and bearing the Saudi coat of arms on the dial. The watch is estimated at $20,489.40 – $28,457.50 USD (18 000 – 25 000€).©Artcurial. Highlights include timepieces from Rolex, Piaget and Vacheron Constantin among others. Elegant high jewelry pieces from Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and pieces from a mysterious collection of a famous French actress are all on the agenda. Visitors can also have a look at a host of Hermès vintage luxury bags.

For the Monaco Auction Week, the Paris-based auction house of Artcurial returns to the Principality and once again takes up residence at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo from 4 to 8 July, with a program spanning five specialities. A pair of one-of-a-kind emerald, diamond and platinum ear pendants, French work. LFG Certificate: Colombia Origin, Vivid Green Color, no indication of treatment.
