Paris, France — Once again our Critic’s Choice eyes are riveted towards the Galerie Gadcollection in the eclectic Marais neighborhood of Paris. Classical musician, director and award-winning photographer Markus Klinko is turning heads with his stunning photographs of celebrities, fashion icons and a constellation of stars, revealing his aesthetic eye to the world in an exhibition entitled Dialogue which is being showcased at the Galerie Gadcollection through July 19th. His works include incredibly unusual portraits of David Bowie capturing a spectacular gaze and museum-quality photographs of Beyoncé and Laetitia Casta. It is a highly stylized universe, that of Markus Klinko where worlds emerge in their own right.

His eye is complemented by his ear. Born in Switzerland to parents of French, Italian, Jewish, and Hungarian descent, Klinko spent his early years training to become a classical harp soloist. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, received the Grand Prix du Disque for his recording of French harp music with members of the Opéra Bastille orchestra and has performed in recital and as a guest soloist with symphony orchestras around the world.

The Galerie Gadcollection, which is also specialized in vintage NASA prints, has for nearly two decades been one of the key places to discover photography in Paris.  And it is within walking distance of two other photography institutions in the Marais: The European House of Photography and the Cartier-Bresson Foundation. ©Trish Valicenti for The Gourmet Gazette. 4 rue du Pont Louis-Philippe, 75004 Paris, France. https://www.gadcollection.com/en/
