Paris, France — A bright white and ruby red fraisier is a strawberry cream cake, a French take on strawberry shortcake and one version is — for the entire month of May —in a show of solidarity. Master French pastry maker Hugues Pouget is joining hands with the French charity Étoilés & Solidaires (Stars and Solidarity)  with a  generous gourmet gesture. For each strawberry cream cake sold in his boutique on the stylish, delicious and iconic rue du Cherche-Midi, one euro for an entire cake and 50 centimes for an individual cake will be donated to the charity which mobilizes chefs and players on the French gastronomy scene to assist the elderly and their care givers.
