Paris, France — While the Tutankhamun exhibition and immersive explorer’s experience is underway at the Montparnasse Galeries, step into another Ancient Egyptian experience at the neighboring Pullman Hotel Paris Montparnasse and its Umami Burger Paris which is hosting a King Tut brunch the first Sunday of every month. The children’s corner is decorated with Ancient Egyptian themes and old and young alike can taste the Mummy Burger (UMomie in French). The Mummy Burger is served everyday as well on the restaurant’s menu. Made with Egyptian savors like pita bread, kefta-like ground beef, fresh goat cheese and a hot sauce complemented by cucumbers, shallots and cilantro you can enjoy a side of grilled haloumi cheese at the same time. The burger complements the house’s weekly extensive Sunday buffet brunch including eggs Benedict, burgers, marinated fish, macaroni and cheese, cookies, waffles and so much more. A brunch that is Pharaonic in grandeur as well.

Umami Burger hails from California and after setting up operations in Tokyo, Mexico and the East and West coasts of the United States has made its first Paris landing inside the Pullman. Innovation and high quality ingredients are the hallmarks of the house. Umami means savory taste in Japanese. The brunch for adults is priced at 42 euros, 21 euros for the under 12s and free for children under 6. And if you bring your ticket from the Tutankhamun exhibition and experience you receive an additional 15% off the tab on anything on the menu, Sunday brunch included, every day. The Mummy Burger, available daily, is priced at 16 euros. Special to The Gourmet Gazette.
