As France steps into its annual cinematic springtime during which admission to a participating movie theater costs only 5 euros from March 19th until March 22nd, we headed over to one of our favorite hotels with wide sweeping views onto the cinematic vistas and vineyards of Champagne country. The Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa serves up some movie-themed cocktails in the Abysse, the house’s superb bar. Classic cocktails of cinema are on hand including the infamous gin collins sipped back by Robert De Niro in Meet the Parents or Marylin Monroe’s bourbon-based Manhattan in Some Like It Hot. But make no mistake the house also serves up signature champagne cocktails and excellent champagnes. Including the Champagne in Love cocktail depicted above.
