Paris, France — The animal kingdom is being showcased by the house of Lalique, the house specialized in fashioning crystal and glass into wonders of decorative objects, architecture, tableware and jewelry. Lalique has just brought out its latest line of costume jewelry within its Empreinte Animale Collection presented in Paris last January. The animal Kingdom was very special for René Lalique and this collection pays a special tribute to wildlife.

This wildlife inspiration is reflected in the house’s new Spring Summer 2023 collection of jewelry combining geometric zebra-like crystal with metal links offering up an accessory of contrasts, the zebra lines run through the smooth crystal and are in turn interspersed with a satin finish in the center and on the sides and then re-polished. The collection is declined in rings, bracelets and necklaces.

The house of Lalique was founded in 1888 by René Lalique and the house remains one of the crown jewels of France’s crystal glass industry. Mr. Lalique was a pioneer of modern jewelry before becoming a master glassmaker. And the house remains a symbol of unique knowhow and art and design excellence. ©Trish Valicenti for The Gourmet Gazette
