Who can resist pink peonies, o any peonies for that matter. fluffy and fragrant, these sun-loving plants exude divergent scents ranging from sweet to spicy to citrus. There are plenty of different colors, whites, pinks reds and corals and some 40 species known to exist. And they have great names like the Sarah Bernhardt, the Pink Hawaiian Coral or the red Charm. And they generally bloom in April, May and June in the northern hemisphere. So as we roll through July a good way to enjoy peonies is with Lalique’s fantasy jewelry peony collection featured in the slide show below. The Gourmet Gazette has selected the pink peony collection (Pivoine Rose in French), a superb ensemble of a bracelet, ring, earrings and a necklace in 18-carat gold plate, black lacquer details and the house’s emblematic crystal with a pearly sheen This is affordable luxury at its finest and draws its inspiration from founder René Lalique’s numerous floral creations. The collection is also available in red and white, just like real peonies.
