The Heritage of Harry Winston

The celebrated jeweler and diamond expert Harry Winston would have been 125 years old this year. Known for collecting some of the world’s most famous diamonds — including the Hope which he donated to the Smithsonian — the King of Diamonds possessed some of the most celebrated stones and his collection would rival those of the royal families. The house of Harry Winston acquired in 2018 a spectacular fancy pink diamond weighing in at 18.96 carats, a unique stone through its incredible size and astounding color. Baptized the Winston Pink Legacy, the diamond would become the centerpiece of a remarkable ring.

The designers and craftsmen of the house of Winston meticulously mounted the diamond onto a ring of 18 carat pink gold and platinum and surrounded it with delicate lateral diamonds weighing a total of 3.55 carats. Only one out of 10,000 diamonds is naturally colored and only 2% of these are pink. In addition to the Winston Pink Legacy, the house of Harry Winston offers an impressive collection of creations set with pink diamonds. The house of Harry Winston was founded in New York City in 1932.
