A Sparkle of a Show

Los Angeles, California — Stars sparkled in Chopard during the 93rd Academy Awards. While the ceremony was low key, the jewelry worn by some of the participants was clearly high key. Celebrated actress Yuh-Jung Youn took home the Best Supporting Actress Honor for her role as Soon-ja in the film Minari, which was produced by Brad Pitt, and in the process became the first Korean actress to win an Oscar, which was presented to her by Pitt. She selected an elegant pair of star-shaped earrings in white gold set with diamonds, an 18-carat white gold ring set with oval cut sapphires and diamonds as well as a magnificent 18-carat white gold bracelet set with diamonds all emanating from the High Jewelry or Haute Joaillerie Collection from the house of Chopard.

Meanwhile the singer H.E.R., the actress Olivia Colman and the actress Angela Bassett also shined in Chopard. H.E.R who won for this year’s Oscar-award winning original song, Fight for You from the film Judas and the Black Messiah, selected a pair of earrings from Chopard’s High Jewelry Collection in 18-carat white gold set with oval-cut diamonds, a ring from the High Jewelry Collection in 18-carat white gold set with sapphires and diamonds and blue sapphires, another ring from the High Jewelry Collection in 18-carat white gold set with a cushion cut violet spinel, triangular cut diamonds and diamonds. She also selected two rings from the house’s L’Heure du Diamant (The Diamond Hour) Collection in 18-carat white gold with one set with pastel blue sapphires and diamonds and the other set with diamonds and a sapphire.

Nominated for an Oscar in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in The Father, Olivia Colman wore a pair of 18-carat white gold diamonds set with pear-cut diamonds and brilliant-cut diamonds as well as a ring in ethical 18-carat white gold set with pear and brilliant cut diamonds, both from Chopard’s Precious Lace Collection. She also selected a ring from the house’s Happy Diamonds collection in 18-carat white gold set with pear-cur diamonds and diamonds and a movable diamond as well as a ring from the Green Carpet Collection in 18-carat white gold certified Fairmined and set with marquise-cut diamonds.

Actress Angela Bassett opted for a pair of 18-carat white drop gold earrings set with rubies and diamonds, a platinum bracelet set with Ashoka-cut diamonds and a platinum ring set with an oval-cut pink tourmaline and two-half-moon diamonds and diamonds all emanating from the Haute Joallerie Collection. She also selected a ring from the Magical Setting Collection in 18-carat white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds and diamonds. Chopard has over the decades been a shining star of red carpets the world over from the Golden Globes to the BAFTAs, the Oscars, the Emmys and the Cannes Film Festival with which the house has partnered for 23 years.
