Geneva, Switzerland — Highlights and high points seem to be happening every hour at the Watches and Wonders trade show which is being held online this year. One of the most spectacular presentations came from the house of Piaget which presented new watches in four of their collections including the sublime Limelight Gala, a parade of infinite beauty. Introduced in 1976, Piaget Limelight Gala is a stand-out with its asymmetrical curves and gold bracelet all dressed up in precious gemstones. At Watches and Wonders Piaget revealed no less than 6 new limited editions of the Limelight Gala.

The new pieces revolve around the colors of blue, yellow and pink, representing the sun throughout the day. Blue for the morning sun, yellow to illustrate its zenith and pink to evoke its sparkle as it sets. Each model is encrusted with colored sapphires and diamonds and outfitted with an automatic Piaget Caliber 501P1 movement. A stunner in the collection is the Limelight Gala High Jewelry Black Opal. The black opal with its unique crystal composition, in which magnificent shades of green and blue change depending upon the light, was one of Yves Piaget’s favorite ornamental stones. This rare stone comes from Australia. The black opal dial is surrounded by 91 brilliant cut diamonds and 83 marquise cut emeralds.
