Paris, France — The leathers emanate from the finest tanneries in the world while the handbags themselves are fashioned in Italy and designed in Paris. Elmira Medins, who is Tatar, hails from the Ukraine but her workshop and showroom are found in Paris on the prestigious Avenue Victor Hugo. While she designs clothing and shoes, The Gourmet Gazette was particularly taken with her handbags including a host of elegant clutch bags. The EM iconic bags and clutch bags in leather, fish and crocodile offer a chic and timeless Art Nouveau design. Her red clutch in crocodile red leather is outfitted with a removable chain strap and has a multi-compartment interior. It is clearly an EM bag with its gold monogram logo and stylized topstitching. Another great find is the storm black fish leather bag with a double EM closure clasp in a satin-finish silver metal. It can be carried by hand with its reinforced leather handle or on the shoulder with an adjustable and removable strap. There is a convenient flat pocket on the back of the bag and inside a large compartment and one flat pocket.
