
Paris, France — it was a highlight of Men’s Fashion Week during which which the Autumn/Winter 2021 collections were presented last January 19th to the 24th. Entitled Puro Teatro, Pure Theater, Spanish designer Arturo Obegero offered a stunning rendition of velvet ensembles for men featuring garments in dramatic rich velvet with the show’s unique model turning around to the tune of the Bolero by Maurice Ravel.

The designer who entered the official Paris Fashion Week just nine months after creating his own label presented a message collection to the fashion world and as a tribute to performers. Old velvet stage curtains from theaters around the world from Sydney to London, silent witnesses to great performances, have been given a new lease on life in Mr. Obegero’s collection which pays tribute to the great Spanish designer Cristóbal Balenciaga with the Dulce Balloon top which is united with a red Saura bodysuit.

Highlights of the collection include the Prussia blue Marga scarf and a new take on his signature Pedro shirt and the Gades trousers in baby blue and blood red. The designer revealed a charming fantasy world that offered hope, optimism, joy.
