Paris, France — It is a tale of the sparkle of the color blue. A deep azure blue, an iridescent blue the London blue topaz is the centerpiece in the fine jewelry world of Isabelle Langlois. The Eden ring with a band of white gold showcases the precious stone which is surrounded by a colorful world of amethysts, cordierites, moonstones, sapphires and tsavorites. Meanwhile the Emotion ring by Isabelle Langlois in pink gold also showcases the spectacular London Blue Topaz. The cushion cut stone is set off by an astounding array of cordierites, sapphires and diamonds. The Gourmet Gazette also liked the designer’s Panache earrings in pink gold with cordierites, diamonds, sapphires, tsavorites and everyone’s favorite peacock feathers.

Isabelle Langlois is the daughter and granddaughter of lapidaries in the Jura region of France. Lapidaries are artists and crafts people who form stone, minerals and gemstones using the lapidary techniques of cutting, grinding and polishing. In short the designer was born into a world of gemstones.

The gemstones she works with in these three pieces are an intriguing mix. The London Blue topaz is a stunning deep blue variety of the topaz gemstone with an intense eye-catching color. Cordierites are gleaming blue silicate materials which can be cut as a gem when clear and tsavorites are a radiant green variety of garnet.
