New York, New York — Every day is cat day at The Gourmet Gazette, but to celebrate International Cat Day held on August 8th we bring you Rosie, one of New York City’s beloved bodega cats. Here she is pictured sleeping on the hot July pavement in front of « her » bodega. Rosie spends most of her time sleeping and eating according to the owner of the bodega. Bodegas are New York City convenience stores located across all five boroughs. They are a great place to stop in for staples, a freshly brewed coffee and last minute ingredients for a gourmet meal.
