Aix-en-Provence —We once thought food trucks were all the rage. They appear to have been outdone. The sun-drenched picturesque city-town of Aix-de-Provence just happens to be surrounded by one of the finest rosé producing regions in the world wearing the AOP Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence designated region of origin label. All summer long beginning on June 28th and pouring until September 14th the Rosé Wine Truck will be parked in front of the tourism office in the center of Aix-en-Provence offering free wine tastings. What’s more the truck will be hosted by a professional sommelier. Visitors can enjoy a rich program of workshops and encounters with wine makers. You can have your photo taken right here in the heart of rosé country and be treated to local summertime goods like hats, tote bags, post cards and more. The Rosé Truck will be open from Wednesdays to Sundays from 4pm until 8pm (cocktail hours indeed) and will be a key component of the Cézanne Year 2025 that is being celebrated in the region. Paul Cézanne was born and died in Aix-en-Provence. Special to The Gourmet Gazette
