La Tour d’Argent: Pick up a Piece of the Table Action

Paris, France —Porcelain ware, crystal ware, silverware, great tableware from the most mythical of restaurants: La Tour d’Argent. The Parisian establishment has entrusted precious pieces of tableware to the French auction house of Artcurial to be sold in an Online Only auction celebrating the “Table Arts of La Tour d’Argent”. A trio of Saint-Louis & Baccarat crystal ducks, evoking the emblematic dish of the house, to offer a swimmingly suave decor to your table, Riedel champagne flutes in the Ouverture shape (the best for tasting champagne), silver presentation plates, 19th century porcelain plates complemented by eclectic and select decorative objects are all on the agenda.

The auction offers an opportunity for collector’s and gastronomes to obtain a small part of an enormous living family-owned myth. Today André Terrail, the third generation of the Terrail family, is at the helm of the house. Purchased by André Terrail in 1914, who had the visionary idea of putting the dining room up on the sixth floor of the building thus offering up to diners an unparalleled view of Paris and the Seine, his son, Claude, took over the reins in 1947, followed by his son, André in 2006. The house has just undergone a spectacular restoration and renovation. Founded in 2002, Artcurial is a leading French auction house and a leader on the international art market.
