Paris, France —Art, a vintage year champagne and a luxurious 5-star hotel all come together to offer a unique experience in the heart of Paris and possibly one of the city’s best summertime terrace offerings of the season. Rare champagne commissioned contemporary French artist and designer Arnaud Lapierre to create a work of art to accompany the house’s 2013 vintage champagne. Some of Rare Champagnes are known for their unique yellow gold color and the artist created a work entitled RISE that embodies the luminous quality of the autumn sun.

« Rare Champagne is a champagne but it is also a texture, a declension of savors, tastes and tones, » commented the artist. Rare champagne is effectively regarded as one of the excellent champagnes and is brought out in vintage years only.

Arnaud Lapierre’s installation work is a round filled with mirrors in shades of yellow, white and gold and is on display for the summer in the outdoor garden of the boutique and independently owned Hôtel Alfred Sommier. The hotel is housed in a 19th century private mansion in the Garnier Opera House neighborhood. Rare champagne is part of the Wine and Champagne division of EPI which includes Piper-Heidsieck, Charles Heidsieck as well as Rare Champagne. The house of Rare Champagne has also received the demanding B Corp. Certification requiring a company to maintain rigorous standards for its social and environmental performances.
