Pantin, France — A new generation of art festival is about to unfold in the Parisian suburb of Pantin dedicated to LGBTQIA+ artists. The festival, entitled Utopi-e, aims to encourage and render visible the Queer artistic scene and calls upon an approach to art that is attentive to differences, concerned, diversified and inclusive. The show is being held at the Magasins Généraux venue, a beautiful glass enclosed structure just east of Paris sitting on the banks of the Ourcq Canal and which is known for its collaborative projects.

The festival, co-founded by Myriama Idir and Agathe Pinet, is being held for the second time this year. It brings together 10 artists who exhibit their works from May 24th until May 28th at the Magasins Généraux and afterwards during 2023 and 2024 in various Parisian galleries. The art works in myriad mediums have biographical elements. This year’s show also features performances, DJ sets, encounters, readings, workshops and guided visits.
