Heartstones

Today the heart is associated with love and romance, but for the Ancient Egyptians it was the heart that gave rise to all knowledge, from the movement of the arms to the walking of the legs and motion to all of the body which obeyed the heart itself. The house of Chopard has recently brought out two interpretations of the heart emanating from its Haute Joaillerie workshops. The sapphire and diamond necklace sparkles with a rainbow color gradient interpreted through the jewelry lacework that is a hallmark of the house’s Precious Lace collection. Meanwhile a ruby weighing in at more than 18-carats adorns a romantic ring. The necklace consists of a chaine from which a heart emerges with the ensemble made up of 75-pear-shaped sapphires selected for their colors to form a luminous rainbow gradient. The individual sapphires are surrounded by briliant-cut diamonds and the necklace is in Fairmined-certified ethical rose gold.
