Geneva, Switzerland — There was a sparkling diamond ringed tourbillon, a faceted black lion and a pearl studded pin cushion watch. These were just some of the wonders from the house of Chanel at Watches and Wonders which drew to a close last April 2nd. The house’s J12 diamond tourbillon watch, caliber 5 sporting a 38 mm dials is outfitted with a bespoke solitaire diamond that rotates to the rhythm of the Flying Tourbillon movement developed by the Chanel Manufacture and which offers a subtle contrast between the smooth ceramic and the sparkle of the diamonds.

Meanwhile Chanel brought out an exceptional new Haute Horlogerie piece, the Lion Astroclock. It is a remarkable piece in which the House’s symbols meet: a faceted black lion, a constellation hand and a comet in white gold set with diamonds. The Privé Pincushion Pearls Motif Watch which is a take on printed tweed just like the house’s signature black jacket. On the dial miniature necklaces and brooches intricately carved out of gold are accompanied by hand-painted black-lacquer ribbons. Special to The Gourmet Gazette. https://www.chanel.com/us/
