Vacheron Constantin, in an uncanny combination of diamonds and taupe-colored opaline, has brought out another marvelously crafted classic timepiece in its Egérie collection. The timepiece is declined in two versions: one with a moon phase and another with a date variation both in a taupe color that is a first for the collection. Each have three interchangeable taupe-colored straps, in alligator leather, satin and quilted lambskin, the latter being a leather proposed for the first time by Vacheron Constantin.

Both are outfitted with an in-house mechanical self-winding movement and are nestled in a case of 18k pink gold. The timepieces feature grey taupe colored opaline in a pleats pattern using the tapisserie technique and have a dashing 18K pink gold ring set with 36 or 34 round cut diamonds. Opaline was first used in glass making in Venice in the 16th century. The translucent glass is popularly called milk glass in the United States.
