Would you like to know the exact time of the sunrise or the sunset anywhere on the planet. It might be wherever you are or wherever you might imagine yourself to be. The young and innovative haut horlogerie house of Krayon has made this possible when it brought out its appropriately named Anywhere watch at the Geneva Watch Days 2022. The timepiece lets us mark our relationship with the planet Earth. Anywhere indicates the length of the day and the time at which the sun rises and sets. Krayon unveiled a new interpretation of its hallmark hyper complication, with the degree of hand-finishing one expects in the world of Haute Horlogerie. The timepiece contains 432 components.

The watch displays the time of sunrise and the time of sunset at any point on the planet chosen by the wearer. It can be the wearer’s location or the location of a friend or loved one, for instance. The rising or the setting of the sun is a decisive moment of the day as nature wakes up at dawn and heads into resting at dusk. The dreamy blue watch has a small sun circulating in perpetual motion on the ring surrounding the dial which is set in a 39mm case. This indicates the time over 24 hours with the ring being divided into two sectors with the day part in sky blue and night represented by dark blue. The lengths of these sectors constantly change and indicate by their position the sunrise and sunset times that can be read on the fixed indicator ring that encircles the inner ring. A mechanical positioning system devised by Krayon integrates the geographical factor. And if the wearer wishes to change his original location a Krayon watchmaker will make the adjustment as often as requested. The watch is available in two versions one in white gold with blue being the dominating color and the other in rose gold with a creamy white as the dominating color.

Located in Neuchâtel, Krayon was founded by Rémi Maillat regarded as one of the most talented watchmakers of his generation, in 2016. Krayon’s Everywhere Horizon watch was awarded the Best Innovation Watch at the 2018 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie Geneve, the GPHG. You can expect a waiting period of up to 18 to 24 months for your Krayon timepiece.
