Paris, France — Marbles, colorful and sparkling always fascinate as they come out of their bag. French jewelry designer Isabelle Langlois has brought out her Sac de Billes collection of sparkling, shimmering pendants in which the colors seemingly swirl together. Sac de Billes is French for bag of marbles. These are elegant and joyful colorful gemstones set, seemingly in suspension, in a circle of gold radiant with diamonds. Isabelle Langlois loved to play with marbles when she was a school girl and the colorful marbles even then reminded her of gem stones. These pieces blend together a litany of brightly colored stones including peridots, topazes, rhodolites, tourmalines, sapphires, tsavorites, iolites, and garnets among others.

These are intriguingly beautiful bright pieces harboring fine gemstones that seemingly glow in the dark. Isabelle Langlois is the daughter and granddaughter of lapidaries in the Jura region of France. Lapidaries are artists and crafts people who form stone, minerals and gemstones using the lapidary techniques of cutting, grinding and polishing. In short the designer was born into a world of gemstones. The house is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2022 and her jewelry can be found in her Parisian boutiques and in jewelry boutiques in France and more than 25 countries around the world.
