Paris, France — It is a highly cosmopolitan affair, the great contemporary art fair that is Art Paris, which was played out this year from April 7th until April 10th in the magnificent Ephemeral Grand Palais exhibition hall overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Held for the 24th time this year, the show brought together 130 galleries from 23 countries featuring themes revolving around nature as well as art and the environment. The show received over 72,000 visitors and the galleries experienced excellent sales with a number of galleries selling all of their works on display at the show.

The works on show offered a host of mediums and myriad visions of nature. There were curious coatis by Gilles Aillaud from the Galerie Loevenbruck, colorful anemones by Damien Cabanes at the Galerie Eric Dupont, pink and purple clouds by Jacqueline Lamba at the Galerie Pauline Pavec. It was overall a soothing selection of easy to interpret works. Anne & Patrick Poirier exhibited one of their detailed herbariums with the Galerie Mitterrand while Capucine Vever exhibited her magnificent landscapes and starry nights at the Galerie Eric Mouchet. Seventeen solo exhibitions peppered the show while a section of the fair was devoted to young galleries and emerging talents. Meanwhile the automobile maker Alpine presented its art car, an Alpine decorated with graphic arts conceived entirely by algorithms and clearly a show stopper.
