Watches from the house of Bell & Ross tend to revolve around military and aviation themes. But back in 2009 the watch maker became one of the first to create a skull watch and today the BR 01 Skull family can count 10 members, all sought after by collectors. The 2020 version, the Cyber Skull took a new look at this iconic series and its faceted design was a resounding success. Today The Gourmet Gazette brings to you the latest addition to the family, the BR 01 Cyber Skull Sapphire, a crystal clear completely translucent sapphire version. This is a timepiece of transparency and with its six figure price tag one of wealth.

The Cyber Skull Sapphire, which has been brought out in a very limited edition of only 10 pieces, ticks in on the heels of, among others, the Burning Skull in 2016 with the skull surrounded by flames and the 2018 Laughing Skull whose jaws move when winding the crown and the somewhat spooky skull seems to be laughing. The BR 01 Cyber Skull Sapphire has been developed entirely in colorless sapphire crystal and even its rubber strap is translucent. The skull and crossbones are captured between two sapphire crystals and appear to float on the wrist. The sapphire crystal is a precious block of very hard glass and a material that is very difficult to shape leaving no margin for error, otherwise it means starting all over again. The manual winding watch houses a BR-CAL.209 in-house movement and it is nearly invisible. The timepiece is water resistant to 30 meters.
