It is one of the oldest and one of the most venerable of film festivals. The 78th Venice Film Festival is underway until September 11th with 21 films being shown in competition while a number of films, documentaries and series are also being screened out of competition. But before the screens light up, stars light up the red carpet with stunning clothes and bedazzling jewelry.
The much awaited September 3rd preview showing of Dune, being shown out of competition, brought actress Sharon Duncan-Brewster and model Adriana Lima, amongst others to the red carpet. Sharon Duncan-Brewster who plays Liet-Kynes, the Imperial Planetologist of the desert planet Arrakis, wore an emerald green gown from Etro paired with Chopard jewelry. She selected from Chopard’s Precious Lace Collection earrings in 18-carat white gold set with emeralds and diamonds and a ring from the High Jewelry Collection in 18-carat white gold and set with an emerald and diamonds.
Meanwhile model Adriana Lima, of Victoria’s Secret fame, opted for a gold dress from Etro embellished with glass beads and crystals. For her jewelry she also selected pieces from the house of Chopard’s Precious Lace Collection earrings in 18-carat white gold set with rubies and diamonds and a ring from the Hour of the Diamond Collection in 18-carat white gold and set with diamonds.
The American actress Jessica Chastain was in attendance as well, promoting the series Scenes from a Marriage, a new take on the famous Ingmar Bergman work. At the September 4th preview showing of the film Competencia Oficial, stunned in a flamboyant red dress from Atelier Versace and a stunning necklace from the Chopard High Jewelry Collection in 18-carat white gold set with fancy yellow pear-cut diamonds and pear and marquise-cut diamonds as well as a ring from Chopard’s Temptations Collection in 18-carat white gold set with pear-cut pink quartz, rubellite and diamonds.
