Glamorous pin-up girls have been around for nearly eight decades now and they still fascinate and don’t seem to change or go out of style. The French luxury watchmaking house of BRM – the house owned and directed by Bernard Richards and celebrated for complex pieces and chronographs — has brought out an enticing line of watches devoted to the pin-up girl. Each 44mm watch dial has been meticulously hand-painted by a French miniaturist artist specialized in the production of watch dials and so each timepiece is a unique piece. This art profession is not widely known and consists in painting through the assistance of a binocular microscope with a tiny brush and then drying the varnish in an oven. The watch is outfitted with an automatic movement and has a power reserve of 39 hours.

Each component of a B.R.M. watch is machined separately enabling the house to offer different combinations of colors and materials like a black titanium case with polished stainless steel lugs, the parts of the case that are used to secure it to the strap or bracelet. All of the key tasks in the fashioning of a watch are done by hand from fitting to assembling to polishing. The house makes only 2,000 watches a year.
