It was 30 years ago that the celebrated Italian, Parisian-based designer Nino Cerruti conceived his great men’s classic perfume Cerruti 1881. To celebrate this anniversary, the house has called upon the expertise of two renowned contemporary perfumers, Alienor Massenet and Maurice Roucel of the luxury fragrance producer and perfume making house of Symrise to offer up a new interpretation of this iconic fragrance. Raw materials of the highest quality – a specialty of Symrise – have been indulged in to create Cerruti 1881 Silver, a fragrance bursting with the freshness of fern, aromatic, woody, modern, fern enhanced by great green basil and ginger from Madagascar. Lavender and for the very first time geranium also from Madagascar are at the heart of the perfume while amber and patchouli are among the base notes.
