Innovation, imagination and exceptional craftsmanship are the hallmarks of the latest timepiece in the Bucherer Blue collection. Ulysse Nardin and Bucherer Blue combined forces to bring out the Freak X Bucherer Blue, an Haute Horlogerie watch busting with innovation and a sleek look. At the heart of the design of the Freak is an incredibly light balance wheel crafted from silicon, the characteristic element of the new UN-230 movement. There are the vivid blue details notably on the indexes, the gear train and the Ulysses Nardin logo on the case back. The Freak revolves around an experimental movement. The watch turns once on itself every hour and has no dial but rather uses its central bridge as the minute hand while one of the wheels indicates the hours.

The watch has been fashioned in Carbonium®, a new, robust generation carbon composite, it is resilient and a completely unexpected material in watchmaking as it was developed for aeronautic components. Outfitted with a tourbillon carrousel movement, the timepiece has a 43 mm case. The watch has been brought out in a limited edition of 88 pieces reflecting the year Bucherer was founded in 1888. The timepiece will be available in July, 2020 exclusively in Bucherer boutiques and on-line at http://www.bucherer.com/ch/en.
