It is perhaps one of the most unique contemporary art collections in the world. The Galerie de l’Audition which means the Hearing Gallery, brings together 40 years of contemporary art with works by César, Speedy Graphito, Arman and Ben, among others. The private collection is being shown to the public, albeit briefly, for the very first time in Paris just before the FIAC fair of contemporary art. The collection is made up of 40 original works spanning 40 years ,all revolving around the theme of hearing.

The vocation of this free exhibition, presented by the Fondation Audika, is to raise awareness about the importance of the sense of hearing. The greatest challenge that has been confronted over the years has been convincing a major artist to create an original work for the collection, and the ultimate challenge is to bring together the largest collection of commissioned works devoted to the theme of hearing, a theme that is somewhat rare in the world of art.

« I am very proud of one of the very first actions undertaken by the Fondation Audika, which was launched last spring, the presentation of the Galerie Audika. Effectively through this event, the Fondation Audika is throughly fulfilling its mission of community service by raising awareness among the public of the importance of preserving one’s hearing, but also participating in the cultural life of the capital, one week before the opening of the FIAC, a private contemporary art collection which is unique in its genre and has never before been shown to the public,’ commented Jean-Claude Tonnard, the president of the Fondation Audika.

The Fondation Audika is a company foundation that was launched in the spring of 2019 and whose mission is to improve the knowledge of hearing, hearing health and the prevention of hearing problems through innovative social, cultural, educational, humanitarian and scientific actions.
The foundation was launched by the directors of Audika, a leader in France in the domain of hearing and hearing health matters.
