An Ode to High Watchmaking
The Piaget Possession Watch that Is Fully Paved in a 29mm case
The Swiss house of Piaget first launched its bewitching Possession collection 30 years ago and it still enthralls today. It is a tactile collection with pieces that are bright and light. And within this collection one finds the Possession watch collection which is an explosion of color with its interchangeable straps and hard-stone dial colors. The rich and vivid hue of dark pink has been added recently offering a spectacular touch to the iconic timepieces. The timepieces are offered in 29 and 34 millimeter cases around which each rose gold bezel – the outer ring of the case – spins freely. There are the dazzling gem-set versions as well with fully paved dial and bezel versions adorned with self-interchangeable dark rose straps. A high jewelry fully paved model in white gold set with 162 brilliant cut diamonds and whose dial is set with 142 diamonds and a gold cuff watch, with a cuff of hand-worked textured Milanese mesh paired with an iridescent mother-of-pearl dial complete the rich collection which brings together three of the house’s hallmarks of excellence: watchmaking, gem-setting and a unique creative process.

It all began back in La Côte-aux-Fées where Georges-Edouard Piaget set up his first workshop in 1874 in the family farmhouse and devoted himself to producing high-precision watch movements, a practice that was not unusual on Swiss farms at the time, particularly in winter.
