Nantes, France — It is one of those historical watch auctions that gets underway tomorrow afternoon at 2pm at the house of Ivoire Nantes, Couton, Jamault, Hirn. The watches in the sale entitled, Mr R.’s collection: the world of Swatch,  will be on exhibit  from 9am until noon These are those special, rare Swatch watches, watches that caused lines to form around the block at Swatch stores the world over. For 35 years Mr. R. was there to unearth those special limited edition models. It is this remarkable collection of 274 Swatch watches that will be dispersed. There is the mystical Vivienne Westwood charm watch. The Lustrous Bliss of 2004 regarded as the most sophisticated Swatch ever produced. With its 174 diamonds, brought out  in only 4,000 pieces and outfitted with its gemologist certificate, it is very rarely seen on the market. There is the whimsical Mickey Mouse watch by Damien Hirst and a funky Vegetable Set from 1991.
