Paris, France — As Paris countdowns to the Summer Olympic Games, The Gourmet Gazette took a look at what one of the country’s premium and elegant sportswear brands was up to. Eden Park has just brought out a capsule collection, EP10, another exclusive high-end sportswear collection that draws its inspiration from the world of rugby. This stylish group of active sportswear is totally seamless and each piece was conceived with resistance and durability in mind, two fine features straight off the rugby field. And they breathe as they are made from polyamide fabric, a synthetic that is strong, resilient yet has an aspect that is akin to silk.

« This collection represents a logical evolution for Eden Park. We have created EP10 for the needs of our active clients that are looking for clothing that performs well and is elegant at the same time. Each piece embodies our commitment to excellence and our passion for innovation in the field of sportswear, » explains Franck Mesnel, the co-founder of Eden Park.

Back in 1987, Franck Mesnel, a player for the Racing Club de France rugby team and the co-founder of Eden Park, played for the French team in the final of the very first Rugby World Cup against the All Blacks of New Zealand in the Eden Park stadium in Auckland. In that same year, the Racing played in the quarter finals of the French rugby championship and the Racing players emerged from the locker room in blazers and bow ties. The emblematic pink bow tie of Eden Park came into being when the team wore them to a dinner with their tuxedos. The Pink Panther was the team’s mascot. It’s been some 37 years since the rugby men Franck Mesnel and Eric Blanc have transposed a certain French flair from the rugby field to this unique brand which in turn has given rise to the house’s EP10 Capsule collection. And the pink bow tie remains the logo of this elegant and sporty brand. ©Trish Valicenti for The Gourmet Gazette. https://www.eden-park.com/en
