Geneva, Switzerland —As the great to watch watch fair, Watches and Wonders, draws to a resounding close, the event was once again the stage for revealing some of the finest, sophisticated time pieces in the world. Among the highlights was the Monovortex™ Split-Seconds Chronograph. This ground-breaking timepiece was brought out by the house of Roger Dubuis and miraculously controls the forces of gravity. The house re-invented both the tourbillon and the oscillating mass with its kinetic energy. Both are associated with one of the most complex traditional fine watchmaking complications: the Split-Seconds Chronograph which is used to time different events that begin but do not end together.

The house is an expert in skeletonized calibres as visible on this new watch. The incredible movements are housed in a 47mm case made of hyper-tech Mineral Composite Fiber, an ingenious very light material developed exclusively by Roger Dubuis. The racy red color is underscored by pink gold details. Founded in 1995, Roger Dubuis is an independent house whose manufacture is located in the heart of Geneva.
