Collectible, the international fair devoted to contemporary collectible design is currently  unfolding in Brussels before heading to New York in September. Being held for the ninth time, the show brings together the worlds of art and craft  from both established and emerging galleries, studios and design collectives. The Gourmet Gazette is focusing in on a new section introduced for the 2026 edition entitled Tablescapes which showcases contemporary practices in table arts with the table in and of itself being approached as a space of design as well as for eating, drinking and engaging in conversation.

Giulia Cosenza and scenographic studio Salon Poisson from the Netherlands are presenting tableware in raw reclaimed clay and blown glass underscoring the importance of reuse. Meanwhile Janne Claes from Belgium presents cutlery as a material, shape and performance. The wobbly and wonderful glassware from the Szklo Studio of Poland, featured in these photographs, was extremely eye-catching, surprisingly functional  and highly collectible. Collectible Brussels: March 12th-March 15th. New York: September 23rd to 27th. https://collectible.design/ Special to The Gourmet Gazette
