Following the success of the first Chronofixe vs. Astérix collaboration, the French watch brand founded in 1857 is proud to announce its latest creation, once again in partnership with Astérix and Seconde/Seconde/. This special edition commemorates the 55th anniversary of the release of the comic book album Astérix in Switzerland while blending the heritage of Swiss watchmaking with the beloved Gaulish hero. Conceived by Romaric André, founder of the creative label Seconde/Seconde/, the watch reinterprets the aesthetics of the famous Swiss safes by Ferner. The bidirectional bezel mimics a safe’s combination wheel, while the dial depicts Astérix in a whimsical pose: his right ear pressed against the dial, left hand turning the bezel — as if he were attempting to crack the code.The watch has been dubbed Cofrefor, a take on the French word coffre-fort, for a safe. 

The crown, styled like a safe handle, reinforces the distinctive character of the piece. On the case back, the engraving reads: “As airtight as a Swiss vault” — a playful nod to Swiss banking secrecy, while guaranteeing water resistance. Powered by a fine Swiss movement, this watch embodies the fusion of horological precision and comic-book storytelling. A limited edition, it continues Chronofixe’s tradition of blending humor with fine watchmaking. The handsome watch has a black dial, a stainless steel bracelet and is outfitted with a power reserve of 41 hours.
