Dinosaurs have stormed their way into becoming another summer blockbuster as Jurassic World Rebirth, the seventh instalment in Universal’s pre-historic series, surpasses some US$800 million in sales worldwide. One costume detail movie goers might have missed was the watch worn by Jonathan Bailey who stars in the action-packed film as palaeontologist Dr. Henry Loomis. Mr. Bailey wears Omega’s 38 mm Railmaster which was produced as a 60th anniversary tribute to the very first Railmaster that was released in 1957. Produced in the same vintage style, the watch worn by Jonathan Bailey’s character in the film is one of just 3,557 limited pieces, and is crafted in stainless steel, with a Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement, and a black gradient dial. His character, Dr. Loomis, wears it on a brown leather strap with an Omega logo on the buckle.

With its anti-magnetic innovation (an Omega specialty), the original Railmaster was created especially for scientists, technicians, and those working around electrical fields – making it a perfect choice for Mr. Bailey’s intellectual yet adventurous Dr. Loomis in the film. The iconic watch could be spotted on the actor’s wrist during the red-carpet premieres of the film. Released in May 2025, the 38 mm timepieces in stainless steel are worn on leather straps and feature grey or beige dials with a black gradient. 

Jonathan Bailey has been an Omega Friend of the Brand since 2023. He is best known for his acclaimed roles as Fiyero in the musical blockbuster Wicked and as Anthony in the record-breaking Netflix series, Bridgerton.
