Berlin, Germany —The celebrated Swiss watch-making house of Jaeger-LeCoultre was looking positively and magnificently Gothic on the red carpet for the much awaited premier of Nosferatu, the set in Germany and Gothic take on Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The house’s brand ambassador, Nicolas Hoult who plays Thomas Hutter, the real estate agent sent to the mountains of Transylvania to visit a mysterious nobleman, wore a Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon from the house of Jaeger LeCoultre to the premiere, an exceptional timepiece in black trimmed with grey and outfitted with fine features and refinement.

On the recto face of its dial, the Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon has an elegant yet highly distinctive presence with the tourbillon taking center stage. Capturing the spirit of the early 1930s models, the pared-down aesthetic and signature details of the dial embody refinement.

Meanwhile on the verso face of the dial, the bridges are richly textured with Clous de Paris Guilloché. This guillochage is a highly skilled operation executed on a 100-year-old hand-operated lathe where the craftsman carefully engraves 6 times each of the 232 grooves resulting in this delicate pattern.

Nosferatu by the American filmmaker Robert Eggers is the 2024 re-make of FW Muranu’s German classic silent film of 1922 Nosferatu, (an unauthorized take on Bram Stoker’s Dracula) and stars Hoult, Bill Skarsgård as the dramatic vampire Nosferatu and his obsession for a haunted young woman, Lily-Rose Depp, who plays Ellen the wife of Hoult’s character.
