With A Gourmet Gazette Gallery

Paris, France — Paris Photo, one of the leading fairs devoted to photography, returned to the spectacular venue of the restored and re-opened Grand Palais in Paris last November 7th for four days filled with fabulous photographs, enthusiastic collectors and photo fans from all over the world. Paris Photo was held for the 27th time this year bringing together 240 exhibitors from 34 different countries, a record number of 80,000 visitors and exciting curated spaces and a special pathway through the booths selected by the filmmaker Jim Jarmusch. Everyone has their favorites, for us at The Gourmet Gazette it was the sheer glamour, classic portraiture, the great street scenes and so much more at the stand of the leading New York Soho-based Staley-Wise Gallery. Pablo Picasso with his Dalmatian Perro photographed in Cannes by Edward Quinn, the irresistible black cat in Paris photographed by André Kertész in 1926, Horst P. Horst’s fashion shoots for the likes of British Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar Paris are all, admittedly, rather hard acts to follow. See the gallery show below. Special to The Gourmet Gazette.
