Genoa, one of the great port cities of the Mediterranean. Here trade flourished and continues to do so. Galleys would set sail from Genoa to join the Crusades. And one of the greatest navigators of all time was born and grew up in Genova: Christopher Columbus. And today the Genoa International Boat Show is one of the most prestigious events in the international nautical world and remains an essential part of the international yacht and sea enthusiast calendar. The 64th Genoa Boat Show will be held from September 19th until September 24th and once again the official time keeper for the event is the Swiss house of Eberhard & Co.

« We are proud to once again be the Official Timekeeper of the Show. The brand’s connection to the maritime world is profound and runs through our entire history, from its beginnings to the present day. To honor this connection, we will unveil a collector’s edition of the Scafograf, featuring a dial that symbolizes the waves – representing the passage of time, the seamless transition from past to present and the constant movement towards the future, » said Mario Peserico, General Manager of Eberhard & Co.

And so the show will serve as the exceptional setting for the preview of the Scafograf 200 Limited Edition “Onde Bleue » meaning blue wave: a special edition limited to 137 pieces of the iconic Scafograf diver’s watch, which in 1959 marked the beginning of the brand’s maritime adventure and remains one of the symbols of Eberhard & Co.’s history, past and present, a Maison that has sailed through the waves of time for 137 years and continues to embrace them. The Scafograf 200 Limited Edition “Onde Bleue” features a special blue dial, decorated with an original light blue wave pattern representing the sea’s waves. These waves, with their constant ebb and flow, serve as an emblem of the passage of time. With a 43 mm stainless steel case, this diver’s watch includes distinctive details reminiscent of the 1959 model, such as the hands and indexes. Like the original, the watch does not include a date display and features a case back engraved with the historic starfish, a symbol of the collection since its creation. The blue theme, present on both the dial and the ceramic bezel, also extends to the integrated rubber strap, enhancing the sporty look of the watch. A steel strap is also available.

Eberhard & Co. will host a spacious lounge in the Living the Sea area of the show where visitors will also be able to explore the distinctive collections and new releases from the Swiss Maison, including the new Extra-fort Roue à Colonnes Retour en Vol chronograph: a timepiece with a column wheel and a fly-back complication, showcasing great technical and aesthetic refinement, which brings the famous Extra-fort collection, launched in 1940, to a new and exclusive evolution.
