Our sun, a natural and forever source of energy, a guiding light, the center of our solar system. TAG Heuer has harnessed the sun’s energy to power its Aquaracer Professional 200 solargraph outfitted with its TH50-00 caliber in-house movement. The timepiece uses the sun or artificial light to recharge the timepiece’s battery and so there is no need to change it. This versatile wristwatch, perfect for the outdoor lover, needs only two minutes in full sunlight to keep the watch running for a whole day. It also lights up the carbon and green Super-LumiNova® elements of the watch as the bezel, dial and hands all feature Super-LumiNova® allowing the watch to be outfitted with outstanding legibility at nightfall.

When fully charged, the watch can run for six months and if it stops working it just needs to be exposed to the sun for one minute to be on the tick again. The watch features a sleek and stealthy black rubber strap which can be switched to any of the bracelets in the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 collection and is decorated with dreamy splashes of green on its black bezel (the outer ring of the dial), making for an extremely eye-catching watch. Outfitted with a 40mm steel case, the watch is water resistant to 660 feet (200 meters) The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph offers excellent durability and performance and subsequently it is guaranteed for up to five years upon registration.

The house of TAG Heuer was founded by Edouard Heuer in 1860 in Saint Imier, Switzerland. The founder would go on to file a patent to improve the oscillating pinion allowing the chronograph to start and stop with a push button, Edouard Heuer deemed this « the perfected chronograph ». Today TAG Heuer is owned by the LVMH luxury group and its manufacture is located in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. ©Trish Valicenti for The Gourmet Gazette. https://www.tagheuer.com/us/en/
