It is an exceptionally creative and glamorous photograph that set a milestone price for a living photographer last June 8th during the Monaco Car Auction at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. The hammer went down at US$311,000 (290,000 euros) for Luxury Pollution Car, Signature Masterpiece by the contemporary French photographer Philippe Shangti which depicts a Ferrari car with gorgeous models draped around it. The auction event called Astarossa, being held for the second time, is mainly devoted to the auction of Ferrari cars but also includes works of art with the mythical car maker as a theme. This unique print of Luxury Pollution Car, called Signature Masterpiece by the artist, is ensconced in a Baroque wood frame. It is printed on museum certified paper and is signed and numbered by the artist on the back, 1/1.
