If you’re searching for an exceptional timepiece, an exceptional tourbillon table clock from the Austrian house of Carl Suchy & Söhne is exactly what you are looking for. But hesitation is not on the agenda as only 10 of these stunning timepieces are available in this limited edition collection. The clock, the Table Waltz Tourbillon, follows on the heels of the resounding success of the Table Waltz clock. This unique creation will be presented to an international watch audience for the first time at the Time to Watches fair in Geneva from April 10th to 14th. Only a few luxury watch brands develop table clocks in addition to wristwatches. For Carl Suchy & Söhne, it is a reminiscence of the brand’s important history as innovation and timeless modern aesthetics are hallmarks of the house.

The Austrian master watchmaker Therese Wibmer conceived this masterpiece with the tourbillon alone consisting of more than 50 components, all manufactured exclusively for the extraordinary complication of the table clock. A tourbillon represents the highest art of watchmaking mechanics as it is a highly complex mechanism that serves to compensate for time deviations caused by gravity. The timepiece is outfitted with an in-house movement CS-T-1 in the characteristic design of Carl Suchy & Söhne, as well as an in-house tourbillon, both are made in Austria. The clock enjoys a power reserve of seven days.

The Table Waltz Tourbillon owes its design to the award-winning Viennese designer Rainer Putsch while showcasing Viennese craftsmanship at its finest. Of note the glass on the front and back featuring facet cut and hand engraving in collaboration wth the renowned high end family-owned Viennese company J. & L. Lobmeyr, celebrated for their crystal and glass cutting. The satin-finished 10-inch high (25 centimeters) case is finished by hand and milled from a single block of brass and finished using a special nickel-plating process, and seemingly merges with the movement. This iconic clock is all about simple elegance at its finest. Trish Valicenti Special to The Gourmet Gazette. http://www.carlsuchy.com
